70 Major sins in Islam
The major sins are those act which have been forbidden by Allah in Quran and by his Messenger (SAW). A clear distinction is made between major and minor sins (53:31–32), indicating that if an individual stays away from the major sins, then they will be forgiven of the minor sins.

Following are the some verses from Quran forbidding major sins,
“If you avoid the major sins of what you have been forbidden to do, We will cancel out for you your (other) evil deeds and will admit you (to Paradise) with a noble entry.” (Surah Al Nisa’ 4:31)
“Those who avoid the greatest of sins and indecencies, and forgive when they are angry.” (Surah al Shura 42:37)
“Those who avoid the greatest sins and indecencies, except for oversights, (will find that) surely your Lord is ample in forgiveness.” (Surah Al Najm 53:32)
